Kelvin "Kel" Murphy is the Co-founder and CEO of Network Edutainment Group (N-E-G). His responsibilities include helping to establish and implement company vision, culture, and strategy.
Kel is the ambassador of N-E-G, one of his critical roles is to network and negotiate on behalf of N-E-G in order to give his organization a competitive advantage in their business operations. Kel's charismatic personality and natural leadership ability have been key factors in his growth as an entrepreneur. He combines his passion for hip-hop and his battle-tested business savvy to make key decisions and lead N-E-G into the future. Kel stands out as having the ability to devise shrewd plans to achieve company goals.
If Kel grew up around the great outdoors, and was raised around the beauty of science, nature, and the environment; he'd fight hard every day to make sure people were aware of the problems planet earth was facing. He'd be on the frontline preserving its natural resources. Although not a dedicated environmentalist, Kel is hard at work preserving something else that is personally relevant to him...and that's the hip-hop culture. When asked why he fights so hard for the culture that he was introduced to over a decade ago, his reply is "hip-hop is not the answer, but one important tool which reach the children and create a better tomorrow. Through hip-hop I learned about religion, society, politics, and history. If a dope MC can come correct, then they can have the ears of millions of children and thus feed them whatever they want. In turn these children can feed that same message to the world." Unfortunately, in Kel's opinion, today's MCs could care less about feeding the children anything except for a false image of materialism, sex, and ignorant lyrics. This is why, when Kel first heard Loj spit, he immediately knew that they should come together and bring dope flavor back to the culture by having fun, and still be able to drop positivity on wax. He hoped that both Loj and he could bring hip-hop back to the state he fell in love with as a youth. After finding their two friends/business partners who mirrored their sentiment about the state of hip-hop, they founded N-E-G and decided to push it to the limit. When asked about his current involvement with hip-hop Kel answers, "Like many people who fall in love with hip-hop I wanted to be an MC. But, when I realized I was mediocre I still wanted to be involved with the culture in one way or another. I needed to be involved with hip-hop as my career, but I didn't know how else I could do that. So, I decided to take it into my own hands and here I am with my own music company just trying to play my part and preserve my culture of hip-hop. "When I'm done here" Kel says, "I'll become an activist for nature , and become a tree hugger or somethin'...all the while with my headphones on!"

Akshay grew up in various parts of West London, England and moved to Detroit, Michigan at the age of 15 before moving to New York City at age 17. The constant moving aided Akshay as an entrepreneur, because his life was as dynamic as business can be. From a young age Akshay had been interested in business and always excelled in business oriented classes, so it was no wonder that he set his goal of getting a business degree and starting a business. Today, Akshay has a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree (BBA) from CUNY-Baruch College as a major in Accountancy, and is currently working towards obtaining Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure in New York State. Akshay uses his vast knowledge base to the benefit of N-E-G by constantly applying tactics learned through his experiences to everyday situations encountered in the music business.
His love of hip-hop culture can be traced to age 10, when his mother would scold him for the curses blaring out of his boom box. Growing up in the 90’s when hip-hop was at commercial peaks, Akshay was influenced by the relevance, humor and empowerment that the hip-hop music exuded. Since then hip-hop has been a daily staple of this Accountants listening diet. The love of the culture outweighs the monetary benefit to this CFO. In the words of the number man, “Hip-Hop is, and will be, the most influential art form in the history of this planet.”

John "Loj" Mouzon is the Co-founder, Chief Innovation Officer and premier artist of Network Edutainment Group (N-E-G). He is responsible for writing, recording and performing dope hip-hop music, in addition to guiding the company's innovative direction.
Certain albums come to mind when one thinks of music that changed the direction of hip-hop - albums such as Illmatic, Reasonable Doubt, and Paid in Full, albums that reshaped the trajectory of hip-hop and forced the world to take notice - yet if John "LoJ" Mouzon has his way, then his music will certainly help inspire a new generation of hip-hop fans.
Critically acclaimed as an introspective voice for New York's next generation of MCs, LoJ (pronounced Lodge) portrays an analytical perspective not often seen in mainstream hip-hop. LoJ aims to create his own niche as a contemporary hip-hop artist by putting substance and thought provoking rhymes back into music that can be enjoyed by a mainstream audience. LoJ's dual perspective comes from his unique experience growing up in very different environments and neighborhoods and helped shape his approach to making music.
Influenced by a diverse range of artists from Nas to KRS-One to Jay-Z, LoJ makes thought-provoking music that the average person can relate to. When listening to his catalog as a whole, it's difficult to put a label on the type of music he makes...and that's his point. LoJ embodies the complexities of the human spirit in his music. Hence the title of his debut album, NO LABELS. He describes his music as "CATCHY, YET CONSCIOUS HIP-HOP." Dubbed as the “Concept Kid,” and never wanting to pigeon-hole his thoughts or his artwork, LoJ rhymes upon a broad range of topics that affect himself, his people, and the world everyday. His music addresses diverse issues such as hip-hop culture, politics, work, school, women, life's pleasures and struggles, fashion, socio-economics, entertainment, and the realities that average people go through everyday. Critics and fans alike praise LoJ for bringing balance back to music during a time where hip-hop seems stagnant with repetitive material.
LoJ's dual perspective is what seems to set him apart from fellow MCs. Born and raised in the rough neighborhood of South Jamaica, Queens; yet moving to a different environment at the age of 16 gives LoJ the ability to craft candid verses about the world through a balanced outlook. In always trying to remain evenhanded, he uses his past and present experiences to speak through an almost precociously wise perspective. The younger of two children, born to working class parents, LoJ learned early on the importance of a strong work ethic. Since his mother was a public school teacher she understood the extreme shortcomings of public education, especially the under funded and overcrowded public education system in New York City. As a result, his parents worked multiple jobs, day and night, to help pay for him to go to private school so that he could receive a better opportunity at succeeding in life. By leaving his neighborhood every day and going to private school, LoJ was exposed to much different cultures and experiences than what he previously had been exposed to in South Jamaica. In addition to his parent’s guidance, LoJ was greatly influenced by his older sister, Helixx, who was a pioneering MC in the all-female hip-hop collective, "The Anomolies.” She helped expose him to the art of MCing from an insider’s perspective. This exposure of different environments has had a large impact on his development as both an artist and a person.
At the age of 16 his parents’ hard work finally paid off when they were able to save enough money to move their family from South Jamaica, Queens into the neighborhood of Flushing, Queens. This was another experience that would have a profound effect on LoJ's view of the world and the subjects of his rhymes. It would continue to broaden his horizons and help give him his well-rounded personality that is mirrored in the music he makes to this day.
His debut album, NO LABELS, is the product of his life's experiences and reflects his balanced outlook as his music bridges the catchiness of mainstream hip-hop with the consciousness of underground hip-hop.
